You will architect and drive mission-critical initiatives across payments infrastructure, AI-enabled systems, and emerging financial technologies.</p><p>This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can:</p><ul><li>Influence architecture across the organization</li><li>Lead transformational initiatives</li><li>Mentor senior engineers and technical leads</li><li>Drive adoption of AI-native and collaborating closely with the broader engineering organization to modernize systems, workflows, and developer productivity.</p><h2>What You’ll Do</h2><h3>Technical Leadership & Architecture</h3><ul><li>Define and drive long-term technical architecture strategy across core platform systems</li><li>Lead large-scale distributed systems design for high-volume B2B fintech products</li><li>Architect resilient, scalable, secure payment and financial infrastructure</li><li>Establish engineering best practices for reliability, scalability, observability, and security</li><li>Influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams</li></ul><h3>AI Transformation & Intelligent Systems</h3><ul><li>Lead AI transformation initiatives across engineering and operations</li><li>Design systems leveraging AI agents, LLM workflows, and intelligent automation</li><li>Drive adoption of AI-assisted developer tooling and operational automation</li><li>Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies to improve platform capabilities and productivity</li><li>Partner with leadership to define Veem’s AI-native future</li></ul><h3>Blockchain / Stablecoin Innovation</h3><ul><li>Help shape Veem’s strategy around crypto, blockchain, and stablecoin infrastructure</li><li>Architect secure integrations with digital asset ecosystems and modern payment rails</li><li>Evaluate new fintech protocols, settlement mechanisms, and emerging technologies</li><li>Partner cross-functionally on regulatory, compliance, and security considerations</li></ul><h3>Engineering Excellence</h3><ul><li>Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders</li><li>Raise the engineering bar across architecture, code quality, and excellence</li></ul><h2>What We’re Looking For</h2><h3>Required Experience</h3><ul><li>12–18 years of software engineering experience</li><li>Proven experience operating at Staff+ / Principal Engineer level</li><li>Strong experience building scalable distributed systems and cloud-native architectures</li><li>Deep expertise in backend systems, APIs, microservices, and platform engineering</li><li>Experience working in high-growth fintech or modern technology companies</li><li>Strong hands-on coding and architecture capabilities</li></ul><h3>Preferred Background</h3><ul><li>Experience in B2B fintech environments</li><li>Exposure to crypto, blockchain, stablecoins, or digital asset infrastructure</li><li>Experience with AI/ML systems, LLM integrations, or AI-enabled platforms</li><li>Background at modern technology companies such as Stripe, Coinbase, Block/Square, Brex, Mercury, Ramp, Robinhood, or other modern fintech and AI-native
